Sean Connery delivers a powerful performance in this fantastic vision of a future world divided into two societies. The Vortex is an isolated, heavily guarded, lush community of immortal scientists and intellectuals called the Eternals. Outside the Vortex lies a desolate world laid to waste by war and pollution, peopled by the Brutals, primitive savages and killers who worship a fearsome god, Zardoz. But one rebellious Brutal (Sean Connery) is determined to survive on his own terms, which could threaten the balance of civilization…and possibly destroy it. Co-starring Charlotte Rampling, Zardoz is an entertaining adventure praised for its special effects and imaginative vision.

The existential concepts in Zardoz were pretty profound and thought provoking. Zed's costume was pretty sweet too.

This movie is great. Quite funny in places. Deeper philosophy than the Matrix. Limited Budget though. See Sean Connery in some, err interesting costumes!

The movie is irritatingly surrealistic and the acting weak (this must have been an early Sean Connery appearance). The story is hardly entertaining and the pace slow, with no special effects to speak of.

this wasnt a movie it was just a pure torture session, bad acting and an even worse story i dont think they had a high enough budget to include any special effects

This movie was really weird. I just couldn't get into it. Wouldn't recommend this one - waste of time.

The plot is a mindbender even by today's standards. This is a great movie. The special effects would have looked good in the 70's, but look a bit dated now.
