2005 M Contains drug use.

Love is a burning thing.

Among the pantheon of great country singers, Johnny Cash (played here by Joaquin Phoenix) may just be the most enigmatic. James Mangold's film distills Cash's transformation from man to icon - from his hardscrabble days on an Arkansas farm to Sun Records in Memphis, Tenn., where Cash finally found a way for his talent to come into its own.

Great movie, thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and the acting and singing was really good. Would definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoys real life stories.

Fantastic, what a movie! Great acting, great story and good music as well. I watched it twice, and would watch it again, might even go and buy it. Highly recommended.

It's terrific, and the first fifteen minutes is great movie making. The way we're pulled into the musical sequence is brilliantly done. I loved it, and the two leads were wonderful. It's great entertainment.

Did not enjoy it all that much - very slow at the beginning and somewhat disjointed later on. I liked the songs - I would have enjoyed more of it.
