After an interesting opening, this movie wanders off into a long build-up, then strings together some unlikely events, and at the end somehow invents a happy ending or something like. It all seems to... Read more have been written by a committee and then stitched together afterwards. Unconvincing, over-plotted, structureless - and rather boring.
Did not hear much about this movie but think it was a good but rather pedestrian story well acted with the right amount of intrigue and human interest. It was a bit slow at times but good to see something with an unusual setting and story.
A low key and unexpectedly enjoyable thriller. Suitably suspenseful with some fine performances and stunning cinematography. Despite the basic plot and bit of a soft ending, there are enough twists... Read more to hold your interest through to the end. Recommended.
Transsiberian has all the ingredients for a good thriller. Exotic settings, confined spaces, mysterious foreigners and Ben Kingsley. Sadly this one is a total let down. While Woody gets top billing... Read more it is essentially Emily Mortimer's film and while she does the best she has been given an annoying/borderline offensive role. After the film kicks into 'thriller' mode in the second half she spends the whole time panicking, weeping and making stupid decisions. Luckily there is a good old god-fearing man to save the day at then end. Sorry womankind - nothing new here.

Thrilling and well acted, I enjoyed it.
Its been a long time since I've been in a dvd store, so I don't know what movies on here are 'sleepers' or mainstream hits, but either way this was a very good movie. A husband and wife are traveling... Read more on the transsiberian railway when they meet another couple, its very hard to say what goes on without tossing out spoilers left and right, lets just say talking to strangers can be ill advised in the Siberian wilderness, that drugs come in many shapes and forms, and corruption is where you will least expect it! If that hasn't tantalised your mental taste buds then I don't know what will, but I'm sure most people will come away from this film having enjoyed the 111 mins they spent watching it. Highly recommended.
A good solid thriller. Most Ben Kingsley films are pretty good. Worth a watch
An entertaining watch, owing mainly to Ben Kingsley's acting, and full of well known human traits, but there is no moral to it.
