Amazing movie - LOTR trilogy is probably my favourite movie of all time - and I watch a lot!
One word. These movies are awesome! Well that's more like four words, but you get my drift :-)
Superb. Almost as good as number 3 but not quite
what words can describe the brilliant mind of peter jackson; the world he created in these three movies is beyond any imagination you have when you read and enter the world of lord of the rings... it... Read more is a world you have to see and feel for yourself....
excellent film.spectacular scenary of New Zealand.Amazing actors portraying wonderful and interesting charactors.Loved it.
The first part of the Lord of the Rings saga, this movie sets the scene for what is to follow. Although there are some significant differences between this movie and the book it is based on it is an... Read more accurate reflection of the story as written by JRR Tolkien.
The movie sets up the trilogy well and concentrates on the important matters relating to the development of the characters. Things such as friends and relationships among the hobbits and how they came to know Gandalf, Aragorn and, later, the introduction of Boromir, Gimli and Legolas. It introduces some of the important prior meetings (eg Aragorn and Arwen) while maintaining a pace that keeps the viewer entertained and interested throughout the movie.
Included are some references to The Hobbit, a prior publication by Tolkien which serves as an introduction to the Ring, although it does leave a viewer who is unfamiliar with The Hobbit without some information. The movie does, however, tell how Bilbo acquired the ring and how he came to give it to Frodo.
Overall, I like this movie. It deserves its 4& 1/2 star rating
I've always love the lord of the rings movies and they are incredible, well made and very exciting no matter how many times you watch them.
