2010 M Contains offensive language and sex scenes.

Nic and Jules had the perfect family, until they met the man who made it all possible.

The children of same-sex parents Nic (Annette Bening) and Jules (Julianne Moore), Joni (Mia Wasikowska) and Laser (Josh Hutcherson), become curious about the identity of their sperm-donor dad (Mark Ruffalo) and set out to make him part of their family unit -- with frequently comical results. With his arrival, the household dynamics quickly become complicated, and nobody's quite sure where or how he fits in, if at all.

I honestly can't see how this movie got a Golden Globe for Best Comedy, which was one of the only reasons I first found out/considered this movie. As for the ending, when the credits came up my reaction was: "Where was the ending?".

Boring movie had to force myself to finish watching it - a waste of a good cast & what could have been an interesting plot. It all felt very fake and contrived.

That's 2 hours of my life I'm never getting back. Incredibly dull and stereotypical. Trying to be trendy.

Great movie - loved it. A refreshing change from the usual slick, fast paced, smart one-liner movies that come out of Hollywood. It was real and entertaining. (It might have helped that I actually hadn't... Read more

Unintelligent, shallow, puerile American drivel. We turned it off half way through.
