1991 M Contains Violence & Sex Scenes.

Veronika lives in Poland. Veronique lives in Paris.

They live their lives simultaneously, with just a hint that they are not completely alone. This 1991 film is perhaps the richest, densest, and most well-loved of all the Polish master's films. It features an unforgettable performance by Irene Jacob, and a soundtrack that once heard, is never ever forgotten.

Beautiful and interesting at times but ultimately obscure and unrewarding.

I just didn't get it. A movie that probably deserves a second watch... I must have missed something somewhere!

Well filmed, a great central performance, and beautiful to look at (both the film and the protagonist), kept me interested until the end, but I feel like I may be missing what a lot of others seem to get out of the film, to make it so beloved.

Honestly! what a waste of time, do not even bother, so incredibly slow and seemingly not going anywhere. Sofa sleeping stuff this.
