Sick, twisted, quirky, and fun! Not for wimps. That's for sure. Rob Zombie is not the most gifted horror film director, but saying his idea's are unique is an understatement. This film is all blood... Read more, guts 'n action through and through, and while it's not a horror breakthrough, it some of his better work and is pretty entertaining.
Totally enjoyed the movie and would recommend to anyone who likes this type of horror. Warning though, it has alot of explicit gore. And some of the subject matter is pretty disturbing. Apart from that it is very watchable.
If you liked the first movie you will like this as Rob Zombie has a very weird imagination that shows in his movies, I enjoyed the movie
If the exploitation flick is defined as a movie that just gives the audience what they want, then you really have to worry about the audience. The Devil's Rejects is a homage to the cheap and nasty... Read more exploitation movies of the 70s. If anything, the skill and care put into Rejects makes it all the more disturbing – not because of the hardcore violence on display, which quickly becomes cartoonish – but because the story and characters don't deserve that level of affection. Slickly shot with a veneer of grimy nihilism, Rejects sides with the murderous Firefly family by making their victims either anonymous, or so unsavoury that it's impossible to empathise, and by having a nemesis - William Forsythe, trying gamely to inject some pathos into his revenge-seeking lawman - who is as sadistic as they are. Call me old fashioned, but if a movie isn't using extreme cruelty and sexual violence to challenge the audience - which Rejects clearly isn't, it's custom-made to be enjoyed by fans of the genre - I at least want to feel some sort of strong emotional response. Rejects encourages the viewer to cheer for a family of rapists and serial killers, for no other reason than because the filmmakers think they're cool. Unfortunately, there's probably plenty of exploitation fans who will agree.
Loved it! Great when a sequel type movie is better than the first one. Would recommend this movie to anyone.
Complete tripe, the only thing that should be rejected here is the movie itself. Weak, pretty devoid of 'scares'. AVOID!!
What I liked about this horror flick is, the bad guys where a pack of twisted mo-fo's who got off on torturing and murdering innocent people, and the good guys were twisted mo-fo's who got off on torturing and murdering the bad guys.
Rubbish and not worth the film it was printed on straight to the trash bin!
This was an awesome movie. For anyone who likes/loves horrors then this is for you.
Well...what was I expecting, it's a Rob Zombie flick!!
