In this updated version of the 1951 classic sci-fi thriller, Keanu Reeves stars as an alien named Klaatu who's sent to Earth to warn the leaders of the world about the consequences of their dangerous ways. Joined by a heavily armed robot companion, Klaatu informs the people of Earth that the constant aggression carried out against one another has raised the ire of an alien species, which is now threatening to exterminate all of mankind.

I was actually surprised by how I much I enjoyed this film. It was one of those big budget sci-fi films that is meant to be mass entertainment to it but really has a bit more going on than your average popcorn flick.

Great role for Reeves in that he got to play an emotionless alien....which is the only acting he can do.

Interesting and the special affects are very affective but it still not up to the standard of the original film which was possibly more humanized.

An interesting concept I guess. Keanu Reeves gives a good performance and one would expect nothing less. The story was quite interesting but I felt the movie itself was a little slow ... not one I would watch again or recommend.
