So, the movie was pretty much like my review of this book - good first half, unnecessary love interest, and poor ending (series cliffhanger!)
I like these kind of end of the world type of movies and a big CGM fan, so I had to see it. A little typical and you know what you are getting, but there are enough nuggets in there to make an enjoyable, watchable movie.
Chloe's voice was too soft to be the narrator so out the door goes the explanation of the premise. The special effects are a copy and paste job & the characters are not very interesting so its best treated as light entertainment.
If you're a teenager, and don't have much of an imagination then you'll be happy with this movie. Nothing special, very predictable. Lets hope they don't make a sequel.
Definitely aimed at the tweenagers & teenagers. Pretty stock standard, predictable story. Another multi-sequel teen flick coming soon to a cinema near you.
Bring the crackers, it's seriously cheesy. I found this movie entertaining only because the love cheddar was laughably stupid. It's like the romance was written by a teenage girl. Maybe it was, I don't know. She flipped his alien switch. Wow.
What makes this movie edgy over others like Twilight. Nowt. They just swapped vampire powers for super alien powers. I'm poking my tongue out and making that noise when you are disappointed. And that's my rating on this movie.
Promising start but fell away badly as a weird, illogical plot came into play. Ordinary acting which must have a couple of name actors gringing. The end suggested a sequel - if it's anything like this let's hope it doesn't happen.
