Really well told story in this Tom Hanks movie - he has always been one of my favourite actors / story tellers. You can also see the understated directing of Clint Eastwood - excellent movie - highly reccomend!
So glad this movie was made so everyone can see what an amazing pilot Sully is. Tom Hanks his usual fantastic self.
great movie well acted and directed. I found it highly interesting and well worth the watch. Highly recommend
An excellent movie, emotionally moving especially during the evacuation/rescue scenes. What Sully did was nothing short of a miracle, saving all 155 people on board, yet he was a very humble man "I... Read more was just doing my job".
A shame then that he had to repeatedly justify his decision to land on the Hudson River to the investigators.
Great acting by Tom Hanks. Highly recommended.
Well, if I had a seat belt on my sofa (I don't), I would have buckled up for this movie!
Also of great interest was the Special Feature "The Man Behind The Miracle" on Sully Sullenberger, and... Read more his family. It explores the mega stress experienced along with his blood pressure before and after the event for those of you who are interested in that topic. The whole family experienced Post Traumatic Stress, but have learned to cope with the fame that came their way through the "Miracle on the Hudson".
I loved this movie. It was a surprisingly gripping movie and much better than I thought it would be. Tom Hanks does a great job.
Hanks is good but I found the film to be pretty mediocre and almost made for tv material.
He landed a plane on the Hudson then had to justify why.Saving the lives of those on board wasn't enough
LOVED IT! But then I normally enjoy any movie with Tom Hanks in it. The film tells the true story of the Pilot (Sully), who landed a plane in the Hudson River in 2009, saving all lives on board, but... Read more only to face an investigation against his action. From start to finish, the movie held my attention and slowly built up to the final show down, which was amazing! I would say that there was no Hollywood hype or overacting in this film. It was just a good quality, well acted drama that somehow keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.
