Just like ice cream there are many different flavours. Some you like, some you don't.
This movie show the craft of two great actors from two different generations.
If you are and action... Read more buff this is not for you if you like cryptic crosswords you will love it.
I really enjoyed this movie, it kept me guessing the whole time as I wasn't really too sure where it was going. I am keen to see the original now too.
Bit surprised by genre, is this the only movie I have seen that has only two characters on stage? Tension was there but failed to grip my attention
I enjoyed the first part of the movie where the dialogue becomes more important than the actors. During the second part, the acting was centre stage. But unfortunately, in the final part, there was... Read more not enough genuine tension to distract the viewer from the game. It is quite obviously a play made into a film and is probably much more impressive on stage.
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Not being a genre I usually go for I got it out really for no other reason than the fact that I like to look at Jude Law. But.. the dialogue is fantastic... Read more - witty, blunt, sharp and humourous all in one and Law and Caine's masterful delivery of it superb - dead pan one minute, wry the next and then fueled by emotion a moment later. The movie sucks you visually from the first few frames. Brannah's interesting use of unusual camera angles and perspectives keep the viewer intrigued, as does the setting - a high tech english manor filled with cotemporary art that has secret rooms and art gallery-like coloured lighting. Great DVD special features too which is always a bonus. Highly recommend.
I enjoyed this movie thought it good game of cat and mouse so to speak
An extremely strange and twisted movie that doesn't improve with time. It was slow and incredibly like a narration, rather than the movie it was supposed to be. This made it much too long for the story I guess they were trying to tell.
