The wild, untold story of OZploitation!

Jam-packed full of outrageous anecdotes, lessons in maverick filmmaking, a smattering of international names (including Ozploitation devotee Quentin Tarantino) and a genuine, infectious love of Aussie movies, Not Quite Hollywood is a fast-moving journey through Australian genre cinema of the ‘70s and early ‘80s - a forgotten cinematic era unashamedly packed full of pubes, boobs, tubes... and kung fu.

This is a well made, tongue in cheek doco about Australia's lesser known pulp films, or Ozploitation as they call it.

It's not a recapping of sterling cinema nor is it supposed to be, it's exactly as the title says, Not Quite Hollywood.

An entertaining, but low-grade doco of the history of OZ films, could've and should've been a lot better.
