Great movie that puts you in a position that has you constantly questing ethical boundaries. Makes you realise there is no right side as you are torn apart between the limitless love of a parent for... Read more their children and the moral obligations that those parents have towards their children. Hats off to those families that battle with cancer. In a nutshell- thought-provoking and touching.
I really enjoyed this movie, however, havent read the book so I had nothing to compare it to. All the actors played great roles.
Although the movie was watchable, I enjoyed the book so much more. I found alot was left out of the movie and it ended differently. I guess if you haven't read the book, you'd probably enjoy it alot more.

It was a great choice in cast with Abigail Breslin and Joan Cusack were fantastic!

Great movie. Another tear jerker especially for those with family members who have battled and lost with cancer.

Even though the filming was good, there's a good colour to it and excellent acting (Abigail Breslin is fantastic as normal) but it left me wanting something closer to the book.
A thought provoking movie, and great acting. Hadn't read the book. Found the switching back and forth to different times a little distracting, but enjoyed the movie nevertheless.
Watchable, good twist near the end. Nice to see Cameron Diaz in a serious role and she did well! Tear jerker.
I loved this movie. I had conflicting feelings of 'why doesn't she want to save her sister', and then, 'how could they be so cruel to a young child'. The moment when her mother slapped her over the... Read more face was the turning point, and from then I was all for the younger child. And then to find out that the older sibling had instigated the idea. I haven't read the book, but the previous comments make me want to get it from the library pronto.
very good movie.I like courtroom dramas a very brave little girl to do what she did as the mother was not listening to her.
