Kenneth Lonergan's script is so touching and funny at the same time. Casey Alfleck plays a handyman with a past. He is married with two kids. Then it flashes forward to after an incident which i won't... Read more mention. Casey is so good in this role. He conveys so many emotions. Michelle Williams is amazing as as the ex wife who couldn't forgive him for the incident. If you have not seen this film see it asap.
Couldn't say we loved this movie, but enjoyed the scenery. A sad story with lots of flashbacks to explain the angst. The acting was realistic but the movie could have been shorter.
A little slow and the main character was just frustrating to watch through most of it, but it did hold a powerful emotional punch that you could not deny. Many times I was lost in present and past... Read more as they just spliced them in and you had to look to see if the brother was in the scene to figure it out, so a little confusing. Beautiful scenery!!
God! This was awful. Slow as a wet weekend. Full of depressing losers. Watched for a bit over an hour and couldn't stand any more

ok movie with weak story line. not very memorable.
While the script might be well written the movies fails to deliver any punch and doesn't go anywhere. 2 hours would be better spent watching something else.
