I gave up Bond movies a few years ago, they were just to erratic, boring and predictable. But I enjoyed this one. I am looking forward to the next one actually.
This was back to old school James Bond. Much better than the previous two attempts by Daniel Craig. Bond is suave, has the dead-pan humour again and the storyline flows much better. If you're a Sean... Read more Connery Bond fan, then you'll enjoy this one. If you liked the existential, weak-plotted Quantum of Solace, then you probably won't go for this one.
A much better effort than the previous movie, more plot and a better villain. The opening sequence falls victim to overuse of CGI and multiple unbelievable stunts, but the Shanghai night building scene... Read more is makes up for it. Sam Mendes shows some amount of visual flair, but all the big scenes borrow heavily from other movies, the action is handled well, but the "Bondy" stuff feels tacked on and awkward. The plot builds nicely in the first hour, but then a completely unbelievable plot contrivance is used to get to the final sequence, but the ending is very good. Overall, much more good than bad.
Excellent bond movie, really gritty, great looking movie too
How can anyone not like James Bond! Fast action movie, never in a million years believable but it certainly held my attention right through-out the whole screening. I didn't expect near the end of... Read more the movie to turn out like it did, real surprise!
The action sequences in this third outing for Daniel Craig as Bond are I definite step up from Quantum of Solace and with Javier Bardem as Bonds nemesis this is a Bond ride worth taking with plenty... Read more of gun fights, car chases and explosions to keep any Bond fan more than happy, there are a few why would you do that moments but this is expected from a Bond film, the story line is ok in the most as this really ends up being an intro of new characters for the next two Bond movies. Look forward to more 007.
This Bond movie is a little different, not so formulaic, and delves into Bond's early life, which has never before been visited. There is action, excitement and violence; but also humour and many tender... Read more moments which can't be discussed without a spoiler alert. For me, and I'm sure, many others, any film featuring Daniel Craig is a must see, and this is no exception.
The first Bond movie I've genuinely enjoyed! Good to 'get to know' Bond a bit more.
loved it. Love Daniel Craig as Bond though. Great action. Nice twist
Started off with a hiss and a roar, but failed to build on this. A disappointing film with a less than average story line. Would be an absolute failure if it didn't carry the Bond tag.
