2008 M Suitable for mature audiences 16 years and over.

One of the most acclaimed and talked about films of 2008, I've Loved You So Long achieved breakout box office success worldwide, thanks to extraordinary direction and stellar performances from its award-winning stars.

Kristin Scott Thomas stars as Juliette, a distant and withdrawn woman with a hard shell. After a long spell away, Juliette returns to live with Lea (Elsa Zylberstein), the sister she has not seen for 15 years, and her busy family. After a cautiously happy reunion, the two siblings slowly rebuild their relationship, and Juliette does her best to carry on with the everyday - searching for a lob, looking after her gorgeous nieces, swimming with her sister at the local pool. But Juliette obviously has secrets, and her silence makes fitting into her new life difficult for all involved.

And everyone has questions...

Just where has Juliette been all this time and what has she been doing? As the mystery of her past starts to unravel, the enormity of prior events begins to take hold and threaten to devastate her life all over again.

Brilliant movie. Kirstin Scott-Thomas delivers her role with great feeling and conviction, especially taking into account that French is her second language. Thoroughly convincing movie and highly recommend.

pretty slow and well done, if you have no expectations and don't mind a slow story that finishes without a high then go for it.

We enjoyed the movie in the end after thinking it was a bit drawn out. But as the story unfolded we were absorbed. Great acting.

Great, really enjoyed. Clever ending though I think we got to know how it would end.
