Ice Age is a very good movie. This is the complete opposite.
It appears is that the script writers were on holiday for the duration of this creation, so, the producers hired a Mexican bean picker... Read more and a one-armed WWI veteran to pen something to fill the gap.
The movie is a collection of disjointed slapstick scenes. Furthermore, the story lurches from one contrivance to another. It makes it hard to connect to the story or the characters. I understand this is supposed to be funny, but the laughs are few to begin with and soon dry up completely as it becomes routine slapstick. There is no dialogue driven humour to speak of, or any dialogue worth listening to at all for that matter.
In short, there's nothing compelling, or even vaguely worth watching about this movie.
Good light-hearted family movie. The sloth can be quite funny at times :-)
Haven't not seen Ice Age, I thought this movie was really clever, and entertaining for both kids and adults. Will get around to seeing the first movie so I can be as critical as the other reviewers.
My grandkids always enjoy watching Ice Age especially the young 4 yr old one.
Really enjoyed this movie. Great for the kids and even the adults. I recommend this movie to everyone.
It's Ice Age for god sake - light hearted fun that my son loved. He watched this back to back and now wants me to buy a copy what more is there to say
This was one the whole family loved - us parents "got" the jokes and humour, my 5 year old got some of the jokes but loved the animals and physical comedy, and well, my 2 year old "oh no'd" through... Read more lots of the funny bits too! Good to watch on a rainy saturday afternoon together - a nice family favourite - though there are 2 scary water creatures which did worry the kids a bit!
These types of movies never cease to amaze. They nearly always come up with good storylines, good actors to do the voices and some god script writing. That makes for a movie that actually entertains... Read more kids and adults. Ice Age 2 continues with this formula and it comes off good. Maybe nowadays there are too many of these films but obviously they make money
As usual a big hit is hard to follow, and the romantic storyline of elephantine proportions was somewhat predictable, yet enjoyable.
Great light entertainment for sharing with the kids on a cold day with the fire on!
I thought that this was a really funny movie; but I recommend you see the first one before you see this one.
