Why re-make a critically acclaimed film? Ray Winstone tries hard.
I really enjoyed this movie. You do have to pay attention to not get lost in the story line but the story was strong and Mel Gibson did a great job as the vengeful father.
I found this to be one very awesome movie, really had to watch it though to keep up with what was going on and to follow story, very complex and very well acted, Mr Gibson really pulled all stops out... Read more on this one, if you want a thriller then you will enjoy this. Loved it
Was a huge fan of the original BBC series and was a little dubious when I heard that they were remaking this as an American feature film. I have heard that this movie wasn't well received when it was... Read more released, not sure if the publicity around Mel Gibson at the time had something to do with it as the film is a worthwhile update on the original.
I think they did a clever job of condensing the main plot elements of the original while modernising the driving themes to make this story much more relevant.
Not sure about the final scene but then the BBC series ending was probably on the same lines.
If you like paticularly gritty, fast paced emotional drama then check this out. I'm not a fan of Gibson but I really enjoyed this film.
Loved this movie with Mel Gibson, he was great, storyline great
Thought this was a very good movie, really enjoyed it. by Summerfruit
A very good suspence movie. Simple plot. Mel was great again . Didn't have time to judge Bojana, but seemed OK. Other actors played their part well. Put in the same situation, I'd do the same!
Twis... Read more at the end is unexpected , but understandable.....
Well acted. Good if you like more of a drama. Wanted more action so was a bit slow and drawn out. turned it off after an hour sorry.
Not a big Mel Gibson fan, but enjoyed this movie. Gibson portrayed his character with a suitable darkness that was convincing in his role as a vengeful father. Watchable.
Edge of Darkness is Gibson at his best. It holds you right through to the warm end.
