I can't overstate how much this film still moves me and means to me. If you don't cry at the end, you have no soul.
This film teaches you something and makes you reflect on your own values. And it's hard not to get moved at the end of the movie. I have not seen a better movie of its kind.
This movie is an old classic. Definately one of Robin Williams better films. Although I thought that the 'twist' with one of the boys was not needed, and kind of put a downer on the whole movie. Wanted to be inspired not depressed!
Interesting seeing actors you recognise from recent shows early-on in their acting careers. The film, although a bit dated, gives a strong social message still relevant today.
This movie underlies the terrible loss of talent and courage that Robin Williams' tragic passing has brought to our world. Here again he is challenging "the establishment", both in the stuffy school... Read more, and controlling parents, who "know the best for their child" regardless of the wishes of the youth themselves. To see the way 'the establishment' controlled the 'investigation', and bullied the students into betraying their innovative, courageous and very talented teacher, made me both physically sick and very angry. The climax of the film had me shouting in triumph. A very worthwhile movie.
I wasn't sure whether I'd enjoy this ten years after studying it to death for School C English, but, I think I really did appreciate it after all. Robin Williams, like always, was fantastic. The boys... Read more in the film are very close... not sure if they would get away with that in the 21st century without being called gay... Very good movie, just a pity I already knew it word for word!
I really enjoyed this movie. First saw it on TV some time ago. Im glad Ive been given the opportunity to watch it again and in my own time. This movie is very well written. Robyn Williams plays his... Read more part well. You come away with alot of little philosophical profundities that make ya feel good. I give it the thumbs up 5 out of 5. Syllvia
A feel good, moving comedy drama, that still delivers big time. It's a classic. And if you can't handle Robin Williams - he's terrific in this. Wonderful.
Wonderful movie. But then again, Robin Williams movies are great.
Rewatched this after seeing it when it first came out. It still holds your attention. Teenagers seemed to enjoy it even though it's not the sort of thing they would normally watch. A great coming-of-age movie.
