What kind of man would defy a king?

This is an action-packed and historical drama that happened in Scotland and England. Men fighting each other to gain freedom, lands and power. A must see for everyone.

Found it interesting and quite bloodthirsty. Not sure how historically correct it is though especially in the detail.

Mel Gibson's first 'serious' movie which earned him both best director and best actor Oscars. Still an excellent watch after all these years, but I still think the real "Wee Willie Wallace" would have been taller than Mel!!

Some fine actors in small parts but McGoohan stands head and shoulders above the rest backhanding lesser mortals in the chops and using the Irish as canon fodder to save money on arrows. The other highlights are the locations.
