A few historical inaccuracies, some over miraculous escapes and the Hollywood ending are the only negatives - otherwise... Read more a very believable movie.
Extremely violent but not generally in gratuatous way
Leonardo Di Caprio was excellent and totally believable as a Sth African Soldier of Fortune and Jennifer Connolly was gorgeous in a more limited role.
However the real star was Djmon Vandy in a flawless and at times totally chilling portrayal.

Leonardo should have won an Oscar for his role here. He played the greedy and cunning soldier/diamond smuggler extremely well. You believe his objective and almost want to join him in doing it. Excellent movie, a must see.

Djimon Hounsou is outstanding, and the film overall is well paced and well directed. However, DiCaprio's accent is appalling. I think he is a brilliant actor, but this one he missed completely. Utterly annoying.
