The hysterical characters soon get on your nerves. The screenplay promises but doesn't really hold your attention.
Far better than your average "Is this really happening? OR are they losing their minds due to isolation/circumstances?" run of the mill horror/thriller/sci fi.
Successfully mixing archeology with... Read more Native American/First Nations/Inuit/Metis (I'm not sure which) origin stories, the filmmakers create an increasingly unnerving sense of isolation and danger as it becomes more and more apparent that all is not well at camp.
Yes - there is a major misstep with one particular choice (monsters be they real or imagined are far scarier when not shown in full light!) but other than that, I enjoyed this and found myself thinking about some of the origin details after.
If you like horror/sci fi - worth a look. If you're not big on blood - this might not be your thing. There's not a huge amount, but what's there is pretty full on in a realistic scenario.
some ok acting but not that inspiring more about angry men then anything else abit disappointing
