This is what love feels like

Based on indie director Mike Mills's relationship with his father, this intriguing drama tells the story of Oliver (Ewan McGregor), a graphic artist coming to grips with the imminent death of his father (Christopher Plummer), who, at 75, has one last secret: He's gay. Both inspired and confused by his father's determination to find true love at last, Oliver tentatively pursues a romance with commitment-shy French actress Anna (Mélanie Laurent).

Wonderful movie - very well edited and and plot method kept thing interesting. Good acting and lots of light moments but obviously a story a sad subject. A accurate and touching portrayal of cancer and death.

This is an excellent film with delightful characters (including an amazing dog!), a great script, depth and integrity. I was fascinated and entertained and moved. Highly recommended.

Obviously a very personal film to Mills. Done in an original way and the performances from the three leads (and the dog) are great with Laurent being the stand out, she needs more roles!

I found it a little hard to get into - bit slow and unusual and watched it late. Probably not the sort of movie a lot of people would be into, although well acted.
