This movie was great, I guess you could call it a quiet western, good story line brilliant acting and a few of surprises, my husband loved it too.

Great cast, fell short of expectations. As westerns go the story line is weak and wouldn't have taken a great script writer to make the plot exciting and the action riveting.

Hard to understand why it doesn't have any life with the casting - film maker seems to have gone out of his way to achieve realism above entertainment but the characters are boring. Full marks though for set design and props.

A slower in pace type of western, but entertaining.

Good cast.

Bad language turns me right off! Too 'touchy feely' and slow for a western. Where's the injuns, cattle, dust, and cowboy with strong jawline scanning the prairie!! Turned it off after first quarter hour.

Great movie. Really enjoyed it. Just seeing what life was like back then makes it a worthwhile watch.

This was dull and slow and Zellweger pouted her way through it as she does every movie. Could not recommend watching this one.
